Future AGI vs Converra: Test, Fix and Verify Agent Behavior
Future AGI brings simulation, evaluation, production observation and prompt optimization into one platform. Its simulation documentation describes testing an agent with scenarios and personas, scoring each conversation with configured evaluations, then using Fix My Agent or an optimizer after a run exposes a weakness.
Converra starts with a recurring production behavior failure, diagnoses the failing step, generates a bounded prompt or configuration change, tests it head-to-head against the current behavior, and returns a production verdict after the approved change ships. Both support testing and improving agents. The practical difference is whether you want to assemble and operate the testing and version-promotion loop, or run a behavior-fix workflow whose post-release conclusion is explicit.
The short version
Choose Future AGI to build and operate a broad simulation, evaluation, observability and prompt-optimization workspace. Choose Converra when a production behavior failure needs a bounded, approval-gated fix with a post-release verified, not fixed or confounded verdict.

Simulation and optimization are useful evidence, not a production conclusion
Future AGI's simulation model gives a team a repeatable way to drive an agent through scenarios with personas and score the conversations with evaluations. Its optimizer can generate and score prompt candidates against the same simulation sample. That is a useful pre-release loop when the team owns the scenarios, metrics and acceptance threshold.
The current optimization-run guide explicitly says a winning trial does not push its prompt back to the agent. A team reads the trial, creates a new agent version, then starts another simulation to compare the result. Converra also treats a simulation win as pre-release evidence rather than proof that live behavior improved. Its production verdict names the outcome after the approved change is live: verified, not fixed or confounded.
Start with the failure that matters in production
For a support agent that gives wrong refund answers after a model change, Future AGI can bring production traces into Observe, replay them into a simulation and optimize a prompt against configured evaluations. The team should still check whether the failure belongs in a prompt, tool contract, policy source or application code before optimizing wording.
Converra focuses the workflow on that diagnosed behavioral failure. It compares a bounded candidate with the current agent on the same personas, includes regression coverage, and keeps approval before release. Neither product makes an unvalidated evaluator sufficient evidence. Define the failure, retain the original evidence, and inspect regressions before treating a better score as a fix.
Ask what happens after the chosen prompt ships
Future AGI documents a connected lifecycle across simulation, evaluation, observation and optimization. That breadth can suit teams that want a shared platform and are prepared to set the tests, create versions and operate the release process themselves.
Converra is narrower: it does not replace a full tracing, simulation or prompt-workbench surface. It is designed to close one production behavior-improvement loop and make the after-release result readable. If production traffic changes, model behavior shifts or overlapping changes prevent a clear conclusion, confounded is more honest than calling a simulation result a production success.
When to choose Future AGI
You want one workspace for agent simulations, evaluations, production observation and prompt-optimization experiments.
Your team will define scenarios and evaluators, create agent versions and operate the release process.
You need to explore prompt candidates or simulation methods beyond one targeted production behavior fix.
When to choose Converra
You have a recurring production behavior failure that a bounded prompt or configuration change can address.
You want diagnosis, paired simulation, regression coverage and approval organized around that failure.
You need the approved change followed through to a production verdict instead of treating an offline winner as the final answer.
Does Converra replace Future AGI?
The products overlap on simulation, evaluation and prompt improvement. Converra does not replace Future AGI's broader simulation, trace and prompt-workbench capabilities.
There is no documented native Future AGI connector in Converra. Use a supported Converra capture path for the agent and verify the evidence it sends before selecting a behavior fix.
Frequently asked questions
Can Future AGI optimize an agent prompt?
Yes. Its documentation describes Fix My Agent recommendations and optimization runs that score generated prompt variations against selected evaluations. The winning trial still needs to be reviewed, applied to a new agent version and retested.
Does a Future AGI simulation win prove a production fix?
No. The docs direct teams to run another simulation after applying a winning trial. A passing simulation is pre-release evidence; production behavior needs separate observation and a clearly defined outcome.
Can Future AGI use production evidence?
Yes. Its docs describe Observe for production traces and replaying those traces into simulation. Teams should keep the production failure, scenario and evaluation definitions traceable when deciding whether a prompt change addressed the issue.
Does Converra replace Future AGI?
No. Future AGI provides a broader workspace for simulation, evaluation, observation and optimization. Converra is for the narrower behavior-fix loop from diagnosed production failure through an approval-gated change and post-release verdict.
